I’ve been asked to write my impressions about the Vetus E7 since I’ve been using it now for about seven months. I am a veterinarian and have a mobile ultrasound business. This is my fifth ultrasound machine over approximately 30 years and the most important feature of all the machines I’ve had besides being portable, has always been the quality of the image. The last machine I owned for 12 years was a Zonare with ZST technology-this zone technology has multiple focal zones making the entire image very clear and simple to use. Zonare was purchased by Mindray several years ago and eventually they would no longer support my equipment due to its age. I looked for almost a year for a replacement when the Vetus E7 came out. I have been very impressed with the touch screen features, full size screen and ease-of-use, but the overall best feature is the continued good image. In addition to this, looking for a new machine has always been very difficult because one does not know who to trust. The rep at Mindray, Grayson West, was very professional and always ready to get me the information that I needed. In addition he was very honest and straightforward with me. That was very much appreciated. After looking at a couple of other machines, I have no regrets with the choice I made and have been completely happy with the equipment and the company so far.
